The Bismarck-Mandan Leadership class of 2020 recently got a first-hand look at various energy operations in North Dakota.
This is the third year that the Lignite Energy Council’s Director of Membership Marketing, Kay LaCoe, has co-chaired the Energy and Natural Resources Day for the Leadership class. “Energy and
Natural Resources Day is an excellent opportunity to expose local business leaders to the energy mix North Dakota is home to,” she said.
Eighteen class members began their day with hands-on energy activities, then learned about energy markets from Darcy Neigum of Montana-Dakota Utilities before taking off on tour to the Oliver Wind Energy Center and BNI Coal’s Center Mine.
Other co-chairs of the Energy and Natural Resources Day are Andrea Blessum, senior PR representative for MDU Resources Group, and Julie Fedorchak, North Dakota Public Service Commissioner.
