In August, the EPA proposed a new rule to reduce greenhouse gas (GHGs) emissions from existing coal-fired electric utility generating units and power plants across the country.
This proposal, entitled the Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) Rule, establishes emission guidelines for states limits on GHGs. The ACE Rule replaces the Clean Power Plan proposed by the EPA under President Obama.
This new plan empowers states, cuts emissions, and creates long term stability in the electricity generation sector. The EPA is accepting comments until the end of October.
