Besides our Web sites, our media visits and our social media channels, representatives of the Lignite Energy Council are also talking to community leaders and policymakers in a variety of forums. Here’s a short list of some of the speakers and their audiences:
October 2 & 3 – Mike Holmes and Jason Bohrer spoke to representatives from the National Energy Technology Laboratories and the Department of Energy regarding the state/industry R&D partnership in North Dakota.
October 8 – Jason Bohrer was the moderator of an Empower panel that included North Dakota’s two U.S. senators – John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer – along with North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
October 14 – Mike Holmes spoke about the newest technology for carbon management at the Minnesota Utilities Investors’ Annual Meeting.
October 31 – Mike Holmes and Jason Bohrer presented R&D and lignite marketing updates at the annual meeting of the Western Dakota Energy Association (WDEA).
November 6 – Jason Bohrer talked about electric vehicles at the GNDA CEO Roundup.
November 20 – Jason Bohrer talked about commercial greenhouses at the North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Commission meeting.
