Legislators Close to Record Amount of Bills Introduced
The second full week of the 2019 North Dakota Legislative Session has ended. The House of Representatives deadline for bill introductions passed last Monday and the total results are now in as 544 bills and 21 resolutions were submitted in that body. The Senate has until Monday to meet their respective deadline, but they have introduced 298 bills and 6 resolutions as of earlier this week. At this time, there are a total of 869 bill introductions and resolutions, which is the second most bills submitted in the past eight sessions. The most bills presented in that timeframe were 913 in 2009. We will see if the Senate can rise above that mark next week!
