Some of the teachers attending the annual LEC education seminar in mid-June toured the turbine deck at Coal Creek Station. More than 100 teachers from North Dakota and surrounding states attended the tour and learned about how lignite is mined and turned into valuable products, including electricity, fertilizers, synthetic natural gas and more.
