LEC hosts fourth annual ND CoalPAC Sporting Clay Shoot

More than 80 participants attended the Lignite Energy Council’s fourth annual ND CoalPAC Sporting Clay Shoot. The shoot was held on Friday, September 8 at Capital City Sporting Clays in Bismarck. There were 17 stations in all, including one “crap shoot” where participants shot at a skeet after tossing around a roll of toilet paper and sitting on a toilet.

The CoalPAC fundraiser event was added in 2014, a supplement to the ND Golf Tournament and the Coal Country Classic Ride.

“What we hear from the participants is all positive,” said Jason Bohrer, president and CEO of the LEC.

“Not everyone who wants to support the CoalPAC plays golf. So by offering events like the sporting clay shoot, we are helping those who want to support affordable electricity through their donations to our PAC fund.”
