The North Dakota lignite industry grew along with the size of the farms in the Upper Midwest. In November, we have a special message from Pete Hannebutt, director of public policy for the North Dakota Farm Bureau. North Dakota farmers continue to supply food to the world and their inputs into production include ample, economic supplies of energy – including electricity from the state’s lignite industry.
